Het H\u00e1lsl\u00f3n-stuwmeer voedt de 690 MW-centrale van Fjotsdalur. Door de omstandigheden op de bouwplaats kan er in de zomer slechts gedurende een korte periode met cementgebonden materialen worden gewerkt.
