KG wanted to renovate an unused hall in order to make storage space available at short notice. The existing mastic asphalt screed was in very poor condition and had to be completely replaced. As a quick and cost-effective solution for rebuilding the floor, the contract was awarded to a system structure with a high-strength leveling compound based on VELOSIT SC 253 from the East Westphalian building materials specialist VELOSIT GmbH &amp; Co. Between 6 and up to 50 mm of a leveling compound based on VELOSIT SC 253 was then laid on the concrete floor in a single operation. A total of 45 tons of levelling compound was applied in just a few hours using a Bremat S3.17 pump truck. In order not to remove the color shading after pumping, the surface was not trowelled. Only in the areas with very thick layers was a short buffing operation carried out to speed up the deaeration process.<\/p>\n<p>The material was also used on the outdoor ramp areas exposed to the elements. In combination with an epoxy primer, the VELOSIT flowable compounds are suitable for outdoor use.<br \/>\nA compressive strength of approx. 40 MPa was achieved after just one day, so that the subsequent sanding work could begin.
