KG wanted to renovate an unused hall in order to obtain storage space that was needed at short notice. The existing mastic asphalt screed was in very poor condition and had to be completely replaced. A system design using a high-strength self-leveling compound based on VELOSIT SC 253 from the East Westphalian building materials specialist VELOSIT GmbH &amp; Co. A self-leveling compound based on VELOSIT SC 253 was then applied to the concrete floor in a single step at a thickness of between 6 and 50 mm. A total of 45 tons of self-leveling compound was installed in a few hours using a Bremat S3.17 pump truck. In order not to remove the color shades after pumping, the surface was not scarified. Only in areas with very high layer thickness was the surface briefly buffed to accelerate deaeration.<\/p>\n<p>The material was also used on the exposed ramp areas in the outdoor area. In combination with an epoxy primer, VELOSIT self-leveling compounds are suitable for outdoor use.<br \/>\nAfter just one day, a compressive strength of approx. 40 MPa was achieved, so that the subsequent grinding work could begin.
